I love cantuses so.. every activity that had a cantus 😂 I also love everything that I attended with my closest friends because every event is a fun event with them!

I really like how INPUT has both informal and formal activities because I get to meet new people in both casual settings and also professional settings. I also find events like company visits really interesting and beneficial.

- Fun fact about me: I am currently growing my own spring onions and my own bean sprouts!! I already did the first round of harvesting and they were so yummy HAHA. I recommend everyone to try it too!!

INTERVIEW WITH AGNES

1). Who are you?
Hi! I’m Agnes. Currently I’m in my second year. Aside from studying I occupy myself with intense daydreaming, tree climbing and bruising my legs while skateboarding. Most of the time I am in my room in Tilburg (this week is my first year anniversary!) and if not I can be found in Arnhem, where I lived for almost ten years. Before that I lived four years in Poland (my father is Polish). But I was born in the Netherlands, Poland was just a stopover in my otherwise Dutch residence.
2). Why did you join INPUT?
I really wanted to join an association when starting my study time, to get to know more people and increase the chance of finding new friends. But the student associations in Tilburg, though fun, weren’t my cup of tea. I got the impression they required more time and that there would be times I would be obliged to be present at parties when I wanted to study or just relax. Those thoughts aren’t on my mind at all when thinking of INPUT. Everything is voluntary. In the first week of my study I had already found my way to the INPUT room (at that time still located in the old Prisma building) and liked to hang out there. All the people I met there were friendly and helpful, and I immediately felt welcome. I had a wonderful time at the Introduction Weekend of INPUT and then and there decided to become an Active member. Last year I was part of the IIC, this year I am the chairwoman of the INPUT’er.
3) What was your favorite INPUT activity and why?
Hard pick. I have fond memories of the Introduction Weekend from my first study year. It was really funny to have to change every day into different clothes to match that day’s theme. And I got to know my fellow students better. Another great activity was the huifkarcantus my committee organized last year. One thing that still amuses me is how fond the majority of students is of their alcohol, and how creative they can be when they want to include it in their lives and games. A cantus? Never heard of it until in the TOP week last year. A huifkarcantus? Why not? Have your cantus in a wagon that’s pulled by a tractor through the city. And have a toilet break at McDonald’s. I also have to mention the Active Members Event that the current Board organized this year. It was awesome!
4). What are the benefits for you of being part of INPUT?
Meeting people! And I love it that there are so many ABBA fans! Cherry on the cake.
